It’s almost Peach Festival time in Ruston! Yep, the 2012 Squire Creek Louisiana Peach Festival is the fourth weekend in June. The fun begins on Friday, June 22 and runs through Saturday, June 23. Admission is charged for ages 7 and over.

You’ll see several changes in this year’s festival, including a new music stage in our downtown venue. The festivities begin Friday with a pet show and peach-eating contest in Railroad Park, then a concert on the new festival stage. Plus, we’re bringing back live music on the stage all day Saturday that will culminate with the festival headliner concert Saturday night. Bands and headliner to be announced soon!

The festival also includes approximately 200 artisans and vendors of all types, all in one location! You’ll find merchandise and re-sale vendors at Trenton Street Marketplace on the front lawn of the Ruston City Hall, and hand-made arts and crafts both inside and outside the adjacent Civic Center. Trenton Street Marketplace and the Civic Center is open Saturday only.

Plus, there’s a parade, antique car show, a rodeo, tennis tournament, 5K run, cookery contest and more. Click on the categories above for more festival fun!
