It’s almost Peach Festival time in Ruston! Yep, the 2013 Louisiana Peach Festival hosted by Squire Creek is the fourth weekend in June. The fun begins on Friday, June 21 in Ruston’s historic Railroad Park at 6:30 p.m. with Dixie Tradition, followed by a return festival appearance by Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band at 8:30 p.m.
After a full day of events on Saturday, the festival draws to a close that evening with the sounds of Classic Recovered, followed by Ruston’s own Buddy Terzia Band.
Admission is charged for ages 7 and over to Friday and Saturday concerts, and downtown venues all day Saturday.
Peach Fest includes approximately 200 artisans and vendors, all in one location! You’ll find merchandise and re-sale vendors at Trenton Street Marketplace on the front lawn of the Ruston City Hall, and hand-made arts and crafts both inside and outside the adjacent Civic Center. Trenton Street Marketplace and the Civic Center is open Saturday only.
Plus, there’s a parade, antique car show, a rodeo, 5K run, cookery contest and more. Click on the categories above for more festival fun!
