It’s almost Peach Festival time in Ruston! Yep, the 2014 Louisiana Peach Festival hosted by Squire Creek is the fourth Saturday in June. The fun begins on Friday, June 27 in Ruston’s historic Railroad Park at 8:00 p.m. with The Molly Ringwalds!
After a full day of events on Saturday, the festival draws to a close that evening with the "Funkified and Zydecofied" sounds of Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band at 7:00 p.m. and at 9:00 p.m., Louisiana’s own baritone country artist, Dylan Scott.
Admission is charged for ages 7 and over to Friday and Saturday concerts, and downtown venues all day Saturday.
Peach Fest includes approximately 200 artisans and vendors, all in one location! You’ll find merchandise and re-sale vendors at Trenton Street Marketplace on the front lawn of the Ruston City Hall, and hand-made arts and crafts both inside and outside the adjacent Civic Center. Trenton Street Marketplace and the Civic Center is open Saturday only.
Plus, there’s a parade, antique car show, a rodeo, 5K run, cookery contest and more. Click on the categories above for more festival fun!
