Peach Pie

Peach Cookery Contest - Pies, tarts, salads, cakes, even main dishes. Adult and youth divisions. Friday, June 22, 10 a.m., Presbyterian Church of Ruston, 212 North Bonner St., downtown Ruston.  Watch for entry form in the Info & Forms section. Sponsored by Townsend House Gifts.


Eat a Peach

Peach Eating Contest - It’s sticky, juicy and just a plain messy good time! See how many pounds of peaches you can eat in 2 minutes. Free to enter and fun to watch. Railroad Park, Friday, June 22, 7:30 p.m.

Peach Hunt - The Squire Creek Louisiana Peach Festival Treasure Hunt gives you a chance to claim $500 in prize money. The clues will begin shortly before festival date, and will be given daily until the treasure is found. The clues will be published each day in The Ruston Daily Leader, and announced over Ruston radio stations. Treasure hunters will look for a laminated card hidden above ground in the Ruston city limits. The card will be located on public property and can been seen without digging, damaging or disturbing any property. There will be instructions on the card telling the finder how to claim the prize. Sponsored by CenterPoint Energy.


Baby Photo

Baby Photo Contest -  Event open to photos of youngsters age birth through 6 years. Entry form in the Info & Forms Section. Sponsored by Barnes Portraiture.


Pageant

Pageant -  Contestants vie for Miss Dixie Gem Peach, Teen, and Princess Peach. June 18, Dixie Center for the Arts. Entry forms in Info & Forms Section. Must fill out the applicable application and the Pageant Contestant Contract.
