Beta Sigma Phi Arts & Crafts Show

Beta Sigma Phi has been producing and sponsoring the Arts and Crafts Show for the Louisiana Peach Festival for over 35 years. We have over 150 vendors in three vendor areas: Inside the Ruston Civic Center is the Juried, all handmade arts and crafts. You will find everything from pottery, paintings, journals, signs, calligraphy, jewelry, metal work, woodwork and clothing to coffee, nuts, fudge, jellies, dip mixes and much, much more. In this area we award Best of Show, and have 4 merit winners. Cash and ribbons. And don’t forget to get your peach ice cream! Outside the CC in the south parking lot, we have a variety of crafts, including potato peelers, hair ribbons, wreaths, clothing, accessories, food vendors, and resale items, etc. We also have the front yard under the trees that we call “The Trenton Marketplace” that has a large variety including a dog rescue booth, info booths, retail boutiques, crafts, and much more. Peach Art Exhibit

For over 25 years the North Central Louisiana Arts Council (NCLAC) has organized an art competition and show with cash and ribbon awards, to coincide with the Louisiana Peach Festival in Ruston. The exhibit features children and adults, with artwork spanning 8 different categories.

Art will be displayed at Ruston City Hall during the festival. Exhibit will be open Friday and Saturday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Peach Hunt

The Louisiana Peach Festival treasure hunt is sponsored by Centerpoint Energy. Clues will be printed daily in The Ruston Daily Leader, and aired beginning at 11 a.m. each day on Ruston radio stations Z-107.5, The Peach 99.3, and KRLQ 94.1.

Treasure hunters will be searching for a laminated card upon which will be directions for claiming the $500 prize. The card will be hidden on public property, and will be able to be seen without digging, damaging, or disturbing any property. Clues in the hunt will be given daily until the prize is found.

Baby Photo Contest

Barnes Portraiture sponsors this fun competition. The four categories are: Most Photogenic, Most Photogenic Twins, Funniest, Most Serious and is for children ages birth to 6 years. Entry forms may also be picked up at Barnes Portraiture, 500 North Bonner.

Photos will be displayed in The Children's Shoppe windows at 109 North Trenton Street

Peach Cookery

Pies, tarts, salads, cakes, even main dishes are welcome in this cookery sponsored by Townsend House Gifts There are both Adult and Youth divisions.

$1000 Prize Cobbler Gobbler Eating Contest

$1,000 and the Cobbler Gobbler official belt is up for grabs and only 10 men (or women) will have a chance at it!

At the 67th Annual Louisiana Peach Festival 10 contestants will set out to prove Who Can Eat Peach Cobbler the fastest!

Taking the place of the traditional peach eating contest, in honor of being hailed the Guinness World Record holder for Largest Peach Cobbler, Hampton Inn will sponsor this event. Not only will the winner receive an official Cobbler Eating Championship Belt, $1,000 is at stake! How much can you eat?

Peach Parade

From Peach dignitaries, floats, cheerleaders, clowns and music to marching groups and more will make their way through Ruston with Dr. Jackie Robbins of Irrigation Mart as the Grand Marshal. Join us as the parade winds through downtown Ruston.
The Louisiana Peach Festival Parade is presented by PetStar Animal Care and produced by Junior Auxiliary of Ruston.
Parade begins at LA Tech Athletics Complex, follows Alabama Avenue to Trenton Street to Dan Reneau Drive.

Antique Car Show

Shiny and old? Yes, and classic, too! This event is sponsored by BancorpSouth and Hot Rod Bar-B-Q and is hosted by the Ruston Antique Car Club. Join us in the BancorpSouth parking lot, downtown Ruston.

Kid's Fun


After the parade Saturday morning, Dinosaurs will be in Downtown Ruston!
Dinosaurs sponsored by Blue Bell Creameries, Holiday Inn Express & Suites and Range Resources Corporation. New this year – The IDEA Place Dino Dig! Dino Dig will be available every hour, on the hour. Limit to 2 prizes per child.

Lincoln Parish Park Kids' Fishing Tournament

Youngsters go for the big catch. Prizes and refreshments. Open to age 12 and under. Bring your own fishing pole; bait provided. No entry fee or pre-registration, just show up! Friday, June 23, 8 a.m. at Lincoln Parish Park. Sponsored by The IDEA Place, La Capitol FCU, Marriott Fairfield Inn & Suites, and Walmart Superstore.

Participants must be accompanied by parent or other adult.

Diaper Derby

Babies crawl and toddlers toddle a pre-set distance against the clock. Sometimes they do it, sometimes they don't. The parents (and grandparents) are as much fun to watch as are the kids, when the big folks try to entice the little folks to come to them.

There are 4 categories for children ages 6 months to 24 months.

5K Run/Walk

Take an early morning run through part of Ruston and the Louisiana Tech campus in the Louisiana Peach Festival 5K and fun run/walk, Saturday, June 24.

Tennis Tournament

Nighttime tournament! That's right, once again the festival tennis tournament will be played under the lights and not the hot sun! Women's doubles, men's doubles and mixed doubles. Play begins Friday, June 23. Louisiana Tech University courts. Sponsored by Brennan Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep, O'Nealgas, and Southern AgCredit.
